Club Placement Terms

Addendum A to the Terms of Service
These terms apply when a club uses NextDraft to post jobs and hire players. They sit alongside the general Terms of Service.
1. Who these terms bind
- The agreement is between the hiring club and NextDraft.
- The club pays any placement commission.
- Only a club admin or tagged billing contact can accept these terms for the club. Other members can use hiring tools under club policy, but they are not the commercial signatory.
2. Placement commission
When a player is hired through a NextDraft posting, we record a placement agreement. NextDraft acts as the player’s agent for that hire (or shares that role if the player already has an accepted agent).
If the club had Club Pro when the posting was created, the commission is waived. We still record the agreement, but nothing is owed to NextDraft for that hire. Agent Pro does not waive club commission.
Otherwise, the club owes commission on the player’s first-season contract value (or the figure on the placement agreement):
| At agreement time | Commission |
|---|---|
| Player has an accepted agent (shared with NextDraft) | 3% |
| NextDraft is the player’s agent (no accepted agent) | 10% |
- The club pays NextDraft from the player’s salary — normal agent pay for connecting a player and a club.
- NextDraft does not invoice the player separately. Players should ask the club if any NextDraft fee affects the offer.
- The player’s own agent is not paid by NextDraft under this commission.
- Any mandate operator fees stay between the club and that operator — they are separate from this commission.
FIFA agent licence. Where the player has no accepted agent, NextDraft acts as the player’s agent and may use FIFA agent licence number 9695259225. Where the player already has an agent, that agent’s own licensing stays between them and the player.
3. When commission is due
Commission is only charged when a player is accepted into a placement on the site. Applying, shortlisting, or expressing interest alone does not create a fee.
When the club records the hire, it chooses:
- the player’s start date, and
- upfront payment or instalments.
The first invoice is due on that start date. For instalments, later amounts are due on the following monthly dates from that start date. The schedule is shown on the placement agreement and confirmation.
4. Contract value and unpaid deals
- Postings may show an indicative contract value (
per_week/per_season) for estimates. - $0 (amateur / unpaid) is allowed: $0 value means $0 commission, still recorded for audit.
- $0 on leagues that are normally paid may be reviewed by NextDraft. Only an admin can lock or ban a club — not an automated rule alone.
5. How to pay and GST
Pay by bank transfer only (AUD domestic or international SWIFT). Quote the placement reference on the confirmation. Card and PayPal are not used for placement commission. Mandate operator fees are paid party-to-party, not through these details.
In the product, the club can mark Paid? after sending a transfer. That asks NextDraft to check the payment. The fee stays open until an administrator confirms it (or rejects the report if funds cannot be matched).
Amounts are shown ex-GST, with “GST if applicable”, unless a confirmation says otherwise.
6. Non-payment
If issued placement fees stay unpaid — including overdue instalments, or reported payments we cannot confirm — NextDraft may lock the club organisation (hiring, public club surfaces, further postings). That does not automatically ban every member. Individual bans are a separate admin step.
7. Changes
If we change these terms in a material way, an authorised club signatory (admin / billing contact) must accept the new version before hiring continues where the product requires acceptance.
